A standard 10" × 2.5" water filter housing in white — universal-fit NSF-approved cartridge housing, the most common filter format in residential water filtration. Holds standard 10" × 2.5" cartridges of any media type: sediment, carbon block, GAC, KDF, ceramic.
What 'Standard 10 × 2.5' Means
The 10" × 2.5" cartridge size has been the residential water filter industry standard since the 1990s. Almost every residential under-sink filter, RO pre-filter, and small whole-house cartridge system uses this size.
Dimensions of cartridges that fit:
- Length: approximately 9.75-10" (between housing top and bottom seals)
- Outer diameter: approximately 2.5"
- Inner diameter (centre tube): approximately 1" (~28mm)
This universality means cartridges from any major brand fit any major brand's housing — you're not locked into proprietary filters with marked-up replacement pricing.
Why White?
Three practical reasons:
- Visibility of cartridge condition — you can see through a white housing more easily than a coloured one (some white housings are translucent enough to monitor cartridge fouling)
- Heat reflection — for housings installed in areas with summer sun exposure, white reflects heat better than dark colours
- Aesthetic — fits white plumbing installations without visual disruption
NSF Approval
NSF-certified for drinking-water contact — the housing material is approved for direct contact with potable water. This is the baseline standard for any residential drinking-water filter housing.
