Tank Ball Valve | 1/4" | Push-Fit

A 1/4" tank ball valve — sized specifically for the connection point where the RO permeate storage tank meets the tubing run to the RO faucet. One end threads into the tank's outlet port, the other end is push-fit for the tubing.

Where the Tank Ball Valve Goes

Every RO system with a storage tank needs a manual valve at the tank's outlet:

• Service isolation — close to remove or replace the tank without water spillage
• Air-charge maintenance — close to depressurise the tank for re-charging the bladder
• Filter changeover isolation — close while changing post-filter cartridges between tank and faucet
• Emergency shut-off — manual override if downstream tubing fails

Without this valve, any service work on the post-tank side of the system requires emptying the entire tank into a bucket first — slow and messy. With the valve, you close it, do the work in 5 minutes, open it again.

Why Different From the Inline Ball Valve

The inline ball valve has push-fit on both ends, sized for tube-to-tube installation in the middle of a run.

This tank ball valve has push-fit on one end + threaded on the other, sized for tank-port-to-tube installation. Different physical format for different installation location.

Installation

Threaded end (to the tank port):

1. Apply PTFE thread tape (2-3 wraps clockwise)
2. Thread into the tank's outlet port
3. Snug tight — don't over-torque (plastic-bodied valves don't tolerate excessive force)

Push-fit end (to the tubing):

1. Cut tube square
2. Push tube fully into the port
3. Pull gently to confirm
