Under Sink Water Filter | 2 Stage | Sediment + Carbon

A complete 2-stage under-sink water filter kit — the simplest, most cost-effective drinking-water filtration option. The 2-stage configuration handles the two contaminant categories that matter most for taste and basic safety: sediment (sand, dirt, rust particles) and chlorine (the chemical responsible for the swimming-pool smell and taste of treated mains water). For households on reasonable-quality municipal water who don't need fluoride or heavy-metal reduction, this is the right tier.

Two-Stage Filtration

• Stage 1 — 5 micron PP spun sediment filter: captures sand, dirt, rust, and visible particulate from the feed water. The first line of defence; protects the carbon stage and the system fittings from sediment clogging.
• Stage 2 — 5 micron carbon block filter: removes chlorine, taste, odour, and a range of organic chemical contaminants. The dense carbon block construction provides better contact time and finer filtration than loose granular carbon.

Both cartridges are standard 10" × 2.5" format — the most widely-stocked size in Australia.

DIY Install or Plumber

A reasonably handy homeowner can install this in 1–2 hours: connect to the cold supply line under the sink, mount the filter bracket, drill a tap hole if your bench doesn't have one, run tubing. The included pressure-reducing valve protects the housings from high-pressure mains supplies.

If you'd rather have a licensed plumber do the work, the install is straightforward and shouldn't take longer than an hour of plumber time.

Service Interval

Replace cartridges every 6–12 months depending on water quality. Replacement cartridges are stocked individually — the 5 micron PP sediment and 5 micron coconut carbon block — or as a twin pack.
