Dual Check Valve | 50 PSI | 3/8" or 1/4"

A 50 PSI dual check valve with quick-connect fitting — a small but critical safety component for RO and water filtration systems. Provides two protective functions in one body: backflow prevention and pressure limiting.

Two Critical Protections

Backflow prevention stops water from flowing back through the system in reverse. Why this matters:

• Pressure changes in mains supply can momentarily reverse flow direction
• Backflow can pull contaminants from one side of the system into the cleaner side
• For drinking-water systems, backflow events are a regulatory and health concern

Pressure limiting caps the pressure reaching downstream components at 50 PSI:

• Protects RO membranes and housings from pressure spikes
• Prevents damage to cartridge housings rated for 60-80 PSI continuous duty
• Reduces the risk of fitting blowouts and tube failures during pressure transients

A single component delivers both protections — substantially cheaper than installing separate check valves and pressure regulators.

Where This Valve Goes

• RO system inlet — protects the full system from over-pressure and backflow
• Pre-filter circuit — sits between mains supply and filter cartridges
• Fridge water line — protects icemaker and dispenser components
• Under-sink filter installations with sensitive downstream components

Two Size Options

• 3/8" OD — for commercial RO and high-flow installations
• 1/4" OD — for residential RO and fridge filter installations

Select the size matching your tubing format. Mixing sizes (1/4" tubing into a 3/8" valve, or vice versa) won't work without additional reducer fittings.

Installation

Quick-connect push-fit on both ends:

1. Cut tube square on both sides
2. Push tube into the inlet port (note flow direction marking on the valve body)
3. Push tube into the outlet port
4. Pull gently to confirm both connections

Flow direction matters — check valves only work in one direction. Install with the arrow on the body pointing in the direction of normal flow.
