24V Low Pressure Switch

A 24V DC low-pressure switch for RO booster pumps — the small but essential control component that prevents the pump from running dry. Sits on the inlet side of the pump, opens the pump's electrical circuit when the supply-side water pressure drops below working level, and closes again when pressure returns.

What This Switch Does

A booster pump pulls water from your mains supply, raises its pressure, and feeds it into the RO membrane. If the mains supply pressure drops too low — a closed isolation valve, a kinked tube, an empty supply tank — the pump would continue running and either burn itself out or damage the membrane through cavitation.

The low-pressure switch is the safety interlock that prevents this:

• Normally-open (N/O) — circuit open by default, switch only closes when pressure is present
• Closes the pump circuit when pressure is above working level — pump runs normally
• Opens the circuit when pressure drops below working level — pump stops, protecting itself and the system

This is paired with a high-pressure switch on the outlet side (sold separately) that performs the opposite function — stopping the pump when the RO permeate tank is full.

Where It Fits

Most residential and small commercial 24V DC RO booster pump installations need both:

• One low-pressure switch (this product) on the pump inlet
• One 24V high-pressure switch on the pump outlet

Together they form the standard pressure-controlled pump cycling that keeps your RO system running automatically without burning out the pump.
