A 24V DC RO booster diaphragm pump by DengYuan (Taiwan) — the standard residential RO booster, sized for 50–75 GPD systems where mains pressure is the bottleneck on production rate. Sits between your mains supply and the RO membrane, raises inlet pressure to optimal levels, and improves both production rate and rejection ratio.
Why RO Systems Need a Booster Pump
Reverse osmosis membranes are pressure-driven — they push water through a semi-permeable membrane against osmotic resistance. Three things happen as inlet pressure increases:
- Production rate improves — the membrane processes water faster
- Rejection ratio improves — fewer dissolved solids slip through the membrane with the permeate
- Waste-water ratio improves — less reject water for the same volume of permeate
Residential RO systems are typically rated for 60–80 PSI inlet pressure. If your mains supply runs below this — common in rural areas, at the end of long supply runs, or in older properties — your RO performance is degraded across all three measures.
A booster pump on the RO inlet raises pressure to the rated working range, restoring the system to its design performance.
When You Need This Pump
- Your mains pressure is below 50 PSI — RO production drops noticeably below this level
- Your RO output has slowed without cartridge issues — pressure has likely dropped
- You're installing in a rural or off-grid context with a tank supply that can't maintain mains pressure
- You want maximum production rate from an existing residential RO system
For 400 GPD+ commercial systems, step up to the DengYuan TYP-4000NA 400 GPD pump instead.

Installation
Connects between RO inlet and pre-filter housing. 24V DC operation requires a matching 220V AC → 24V DC transformer (sold separately if not bundled).
For proper installation, pair with:
- 24V transformer — converts mains AC to DC for the pump
- 24V high-pressure switch — stops the pump when the RO tank is full
- 24V low-pressure switch — stops the pump when mains supply fails
Key features
- DengYuan (Taiwan) 50 GPD RO booster pump
- 24V DC operation, 16.8W power
- Increases inlet pressure to RO membrane working range
