Watermark Policy
Effective Date: 12 February 2025
At Enviro Aqua, we are committed to providing high-quality plumbing products that comply with Australian standards. This page explains WaterMark certification, its importance, and how it applies to the products we sell.
1. What is WaterMark Certification?
WaterMark is a mandatory certification scheme for certain plumbing products in Australia. It ensures that products meet safety, quality, and performance standards as defined by the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA).
WaterMark-Certified Products:
✔ Comply with AS/NZS 3718 or other relevant Australian plumbing standards
✔ Are approved for installation in regulated plumbing systems
✔ Must be installed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local regulations
Products that require WaterMark certification but do not have it do not meet PCA compliance requirements and may not be approved for installation in Australia’s regulated water supply system.
2. How We Label WaterMark Products on Enviro Aqua
To ensure full transparency, our labelling system ensures customers can easily identify whether a product has WaterMark certification.
WaterMark-Certified Products
- Clearly marked as “WaterMark: Yes” in the product specifications.
- Product images display WaterMark and WELS labels, where applicable.
- Product description will mention compliance with AS/NZS 3718 or other relevant Australian plumbing standards.
These products are approved for installation in regulated plumbing systems.
Non-WaterMark Products
- No mention of “WaterMark” in product specifications.
- No WaterMark or WELS labels in product images.
These products are not compliant for installation in regulation plumbing systems. They may be suitable for decorative, off-grid, or non-regulated applications.
We do not claim WaterMark certification for any product that does not have a valid WaterMark approval.
3. Customer Responsibility & Compliance Disclaimer
It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with local plumbing regulations before purchase and installation.
⚠ Important Notices:
Local regulations may vary by state or territory. We strongly recommend consulting a licensed plumber or your local building authority before purchasing or installing plumbing products.
Installing non-certified products in regulated plumbing systems may result in fines, removal by authorities, or voiding of warranties.
Enviro Aqua is not liable for any penalties, damages, or costs arising from improper installation or non-compliance with plumbing regulations.
4. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Can I still buy and use a non-WaterMark-certified tap in Australia?

❌ However, these products cannot be legally installed in regulated plumbing systems connected to the main water supply.
